League of Legends pro player Jankos spent a number of years on G2 Esports, but for the 2023 the veteran jungler will play in a different jersey. Along with the first ever Japanese players in a major region they'll round out the Team Heretics roster for the LEC Spring Split.
Former G2 Esports jungler Jankos has managed to find a new home for the 2023 season. As rumored, he will be joining the newly introduced Team Heretics who will replace Misfits Gaming in the LEC come 2023.
Jankos won't be the only big name on the roster though. Team Heretics announced their full lineup for the upcoming season and a few other stars have joined the team for an exhilarating team this season.
Team Heretics 2023: Get Ready for a Star Filled LoL Team Roster in the LEC
Team Heretics announced their LEC 2023 roster over the weekend, finally putting all the rumors to rest that have been floating around. The biggest signing of them all? Of course, none other than former G2 Esports jungler and World Championship finalist, as well as MSI champion Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski.
But, there was another signing that had many fans quite excited. The most famous thumbs up of any League of Legends World Championship and Mid-Season Invitational (other than maybe Faker) belongs to Shunsuke "Evi" Murase who is the former DetontaioN FocusMe top laner.
Riot is making some changes to the ranked system in 2023. This is what you need to know:
Evi will be the first Japanese player to play in one of the major League of Legends regions. He's known for his pocket Urgot, but he's also able to play a multitude of other champions and is one of the most well-liked players in the pro scene for his good attitude and leadership.
Finally, the team is rounded out by former Unicorns of Love mid laner Lee "Ruby" Sol-min who has spent time in the PCS, as well as the Prime League before making it to the LEC.
Former Misfits support Mertai "Mesra" Sari will be playing for Team Heretics this year alongside Jakob "Jackspektra" Gullvag Kepple. This looks like a competitive roster with both experience, as well as young talent. Will they be able to take down teams like G2 Esports and Fnatic to make it to the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational?
