We all know it and hate it. We played through Elden Ring like 10 times and can't wait for Shadow of the Erdtree to drop. One fan used the time to fill 600 pages with art about his playthrough.
Have you ever created fan art for your favorite movies or games? Do you maybe even do it regularly? Perhaps you even have your own little collection of drawings and sketches, whether in digital or more traditional forms. Some people may even decorate their rooms with their best works.
There are many talented video game fans out there, and the one I want to introduce to you has a hot burning passion. He calls himself a "crazed lunatic" when it comes to his obsession of filling sketchbooks. Among his latest works is one that illustrates his complete Elden Ring playthrough, and it looks incredible.
This Elden Ring Sketchbook Has Impressive Art On Every Page
Elden Ring has drawn millions of fans into its epic dark fantasy world and inspired many of them to pursue their own passionate projects. Some found creative ways to play the game, like using their voice as controls, while others felt compelled to defeat the game's toughest boss thousands of times to help others.
This fan, who loves not only video games but also painting and drawing, has documented his journey through the world of Elden Ring in a 600-page sketchbook. Don't be fooled by the word "sketchbook." What you'll see here is much more than just a few doodles.
On YouTube, Artyz Artifacts regularly showcases his artwork, with a particular passion for sketchbooks. In his latest video, he flips through his newest creation and shares his experiences in Elden Ring. This video primarily covers his adventures in Limgrave. In the video description, he announces that he will upload videos for all major areas of Elden Ring.
He reveals his starting class and discusses all the mysteries he encountered, which initially left him puzzled, much like many of us. The level of detail on each page is incredibly impressive. Every character he encountered, every event, and every boss fight earns a spot in this book.
Artyz writes that his Elden Ring Sketchbook is inspired by Arthur Morgan's journal in Red Dead Redemption, where the character immortalized drawings of animals and landscapes along with notes. However, Artyz's Elden Ring Sketchbook is considerably more detailed than the game character's journal.
He mentions that he creates these sketchbooks primarily to improve his skills as an artist and because he wanted to study FromSoft's work. However, for those already reaching for their wallets, there's some bad news: this book will not be available for sale (no, not even copies, duh). Artyz hasn't even monetized this video on his YouTube channel because some of his artwork is based on the works of other artists.
Nevertheless, Artyz's work is incredibly impressive, not least because it demonstrates remarkable perseverance in filling so many pages without neglecting a high level of detail. He can truly be proud of his accomplishment, and I'm sure you'll agree.
If you enjoyed these sample images, make sure to keep an eye out for the next video on Artyz Artifacts' YouTube Channel. It's a great way to sweeten the wait for Shadow of the Erdtree, that's for sure.
