According to the actor who played Trevor, a story DLC was planned for GTA 5, which had already begun production but never saw the light of day.
GTA 5 was originally supposed to release DLC campaigns surrounding the three main characters, revealed Steven Ogg, who voices Trevor in the game. However, such DLC never saw the light of day.
According to Ogg, he had already shot some initial scenes for a DLC where Trevor was supposed to appear as an undercover agent. But these scenes disappeared, and the DLC was never released.
GTA 5: The Never Released Story-DLC
For over 10 years, GTA fans have been waiting for a story DLC. However, not a single one has been released to date, while the online mode received numerous add-ons, introducing new missions, systems, vehicles, buildings and much more.
During a YouTube stream with Ned Luke, the actor who portrays Michael De Santa, Steven Ogg revealed that he had been involved in the development of a DLC campaign. His character Trevor, known for his volatile nature and escapades, was supposed to be the focus of the add-on.
In the DLC, Trevor worked as an undercover agent for the feds. According to Ogg, he was still a mess-up, but he did his best to be some sort of 'James Bond'.
Ned Luke believes that the DLC was Rockstar's original plan before the online mode came out. The DLC would have featured its own campaign for the three main characters. Who wouldn't have thought that was cool?
The actors also note the fact that GTA 4 still got story DLCs, but it looks like that will never happen for GTA 5. Let's hope that GTA 6 will once again have great add-ons for the single-player mode.
