Despite a significant drop in the originally multimillion-player base, Palworld still ranks among the most popular games on Steam with an average of 100,000 concurrent players. The survival game made a remarkable start earlier this year, despite being available only on Steam and Xbox. As Palworld's creator revealed, that is about to change soon.

Palworld Creator Opens Up About Multi-Platform Plans

In an interview with Bloomberg, Takuro Mizobe, Palworld's creator and Pocketpair CEO, discusses the future of the indie hit. He mentions that Palworld's success has made the game too big for a small team like Pocketpair's. They are considering a partnership or acquisition to do justice to the game.

This would enable the release on other platforms such as PlayStation and Switch. Sony's Indie Chief, Shuhei Yoshida, seems to be on board, as he already hinted on Twitter back in January.

On the question of whether Sony would support Pocketpair for the release of Palworld on the PS5, Yoshida responded with a simple "Yes."

Regarding the Switch, there are no hints from either Pocketpair or Nintendo. However, this is not really surprising, as Nintendo had already hinted that they were rather skeptical about Palworld.

However, it is probably only a matter of time before Palworld becomes available on other platforms. If the game continues to perform well, we can expect a multi-platform release.
