Uncharted could be getting a remake, according to some rumors. Unfortunately, it's just one game in the series for now, but fans should still get excited.
Remakes and remasters are rushing in consistently, with more and more old games getting remade for new consoles and generations to enjoy. One of those well-known franchises is Uncharted, which could be getting a resurgence very soon.
In a recent podcast, it was revealed that there is evidence of an Uncharted remake. Of course, this is still just a rumor, but with the current direction of increasing remakes for video games, it does seem plausible.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remake Rumored
The first Uncharted is rumored to be getting a remake. According to the XboxEra Podcast, there has been evidence that a complete remake of the first game of the series is currently in development. This would be a "from the ground up" remake, which will overwork the entire game. This information was revealed by Nick Baker and his co-host Jon Clarke has also confirmed these rumors.
While the studio working on this remake has not been named, it wouldn't seem like too much of a stretch to think that Naughty Dog, the game's developer, could also be working on the Uncharted remake. They just did remade/remastered The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us II for PlayStation 5, after all.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is the first game in the series and was originally released in 2007. The game already received a remaster in 2015 for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. The last Uncharted game came out in 2017, so a remake would be perfect to revitalize the franchise completely, right?
