Maximum Entertainment has officially announced that Squirrel with a Gun, the shooter game starring a squirrel (and a gun), will be released later this year for PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

In Squirrel with a Gun, you start out as nothing more than a rodent with a dream. But once you're equipped with one of the many firearms squirrels find in nature all the time, you'll use your weapon to take on the agents hunting you.
Explore the world through the eyes of a squirrel, drive around in your toy car and annoy the neighborhood or solicit cuddles from curious passersby.
Escape a covert underground facility, outwit the agents, upgrade your arsenal and uncover more secret bunkers to take down elite bosses and even blow up a tank. Switch weapons to systematically mow down your enemies in 12 unique ways, solve puzzling challenges to collect all the golden acorns, and get creative with your weapons and recoil to give yourself a boost.
