Now that version 2.1 of HoYoverse's Honkai Star Rail is almost halfway through, we are receiving the first hints and leaks about the upcoming patch 2.2! This time around, we are mainly looking at some quality of life adjustments and much needed updates. Let's get into it!
Unlike with their first hit game Genshin Impact, HoYoverse is not taking quite as long with Honkai Star Rail top introduce cool quality of life changes. The upcoming updates are sure to please most players! — Well done HoYoverse, keep up the good work!

Honkai Star Rail: Updates & Quality Of Life Changes Leaked For Version 2.2
To start the version 2.2 changes off, we will first check out a new quality of life feature that is supposed to be released with the next patch. Although it really is just a small addition, it will make finding your favorite character a little easier!
Honkai Star Rail: Choose Your Favorites
HoYoverse is planning to implement a “favorites” system into the character overview. This will allow players to find certain units much faster and will, over the course of many more weeks and months to come, save most players a lot of time and nerves! The characters, which you decide to be your favorites, can be marked down with a tiny star symbol.
This feature will also come in handy in the character selection for theMemory of Chaos and Pure Fiction, where selected units will also appear at the top from now on! Note, that this change is still under development, and it may not be available in 2.2 but rather in version 2.3.

Honkai Star Rail: New Gameplay Mechanism
Next to some minor quality of life changes, we will also get a new gameplay mechanic, which is all about your opponent's toughness!
Leakers found out, that some new enemies in version 2.2 will actually have multiple layers of toughness! Each time one of the layers gets broken, the weakness break effect will be triggered. However, only after the last layer is reached and broken, the enemy will enter the weakness broken state, which triggers all the DoTs and other post-break effects.

This change may be quite interesting to players who enjoy their damage over time teams, since you always have to keep in mind, which layer you are currently breaking and when your DoTs will come into action!
Honkai Star Rail: New Free Light Cone
This section is rather small, however it could turn out to be the most exciting one! According to leaks, each and every player will receive a free Light Cone in version 2.2! As of right now, we are still unsure which path this weapon will belong to, or which rarity it might have.
It may seem crazy, but what if it was actually a 5-Star Light Cone? Given that HoYoverse gave us Dr. Ratio for free, it's not unthinkable that this upcoming weapon could also turn out to be quite strong!
