LoL Patch 14.3 is going to be out soon with multiple changes to items. Aurelion Sol is also set to be getting some major buffs due to how weak he's been since the start of LoL Season 14.
LoL Patch 14.3 is going to be releasing next week and with it, a bunch of item changes and adjustments have already hit the Public Beta Environment (PBE). Not only items, but also champions will receive changes and one of those is Aurelion Sol, who only a year ago was reworked.
Maxwell "Riot Yelough" Perlman revealed the upcoming buffs on his Twitter/X and gave some insights into the changes, so players can understand what the devs are up to.
LoL Patch 14.3: Riot Is Buffing Aurelion Sol
Riot is going to be buffing Aurelion Sol in LoL Patch 14.3. With the new items in Season 14 the champion hasn't felt as good as before and Riot wants to adjust him to be more of an early game pick than just wait for max stacks in the late game to obliterate enemies.
We are pushing his stacking towards proactive play and early game agency and away from optimizing stacks gained from E. The intention of giving ASol more early game agency is to make it so he must use that agency to meaningfully scale.
So, Riot is going to be nerfing the stacks per unit that die within his E, while buffing his Q and W to give the combo more agency, especially early on in the game. These changes are to incentivize players to max W before E going forward.
ASol buffs coming to PBE for 14.3! The goal of these buffs is to make ASol feel better about the new item system, give him more early game agency to cast his spells, and to push him towards more proactive play using Q+W. (1/3) pic.twitter.com/C1CSSustE2

Players seem pretty happy with these changes, though most would prefer if his E could still give more stacks than just 2. Overall this is looking to be pretty good though. We'll see how these changes feel on the PBE.
LoL Patch 14.3 is going to go live on February 7, 2024, with the Lunar Revel event hitting live servers, as well as URF as a new rotating game mode.
