Fans have noticed that some League of Legends champions seem to have received more love than others by Riot in terms of quality.
One League of Legends player has presented and explained the differences in specific champions and their animations. This has caused the community to notice that their main champion might not have received as much love from Riot as another that had been released beforehand.
Finding that some champions have specific animations for situations that another doesn't can be quite frustrating, especially since they technically all cost the same. A similar situation was also pointed out about skins in the same skin tier.
League of Legends: Not All Champions And Skins Are Equal
Reddit user ex0ll put together a huge post in the League of Legends subreddit discussing the quality of champions and skins, revealing that some champions have animations for specific game situations, while others are lacking those. This doesn't just mean that old champions like Singed don't have specific animations, but even amongst newer releases the animations are lacking.
For example, they point out when a champion gets knocked up by an enemy, some have animations for this. For example, Gnar has a specific animation he does when he gets knocked up. On the other hand, Viego who was released much later does not.
Inconsistent Quality Standard by u/ex0ll in leagueoflegends
Similar things can be said for certain attack animations. For example, Viego who is a prominent character in League of Legends lore, does not flow well when going from attack to idle. It's even worse when you take into account that it doesn't respect his attack speed correctly.
Things like toggles are also added into the post, with some champions having toggles to their look. Kai'Sa is probably the most prominent champion you think of when you think of one with a toggle. You can press CTRL + 5 and then have her remove or put on her helmet. Not every champion has these types of added features though.
Skin Differences While Being In The Same Tier
Skins also don't get all the attention and love they often deserve from Riot. This isn't even a jab at older skins, but there are newer Epic tier skins which cannot even compare to the effort put into older skins of the same tier.
One example is Pentakill Karthus who, while being priced as an Epic skin, did receive a few voice lines for his thematic. On the other hand, newer Epic tier skins did not receive such attention like the recent PROJECT skins.
Fans Want Same Quality Standard For Champions And Skins
While champions are always being worked on by different people and teams, the community does wish that Riot would have some form of standardized quality testing which would mean that all champions have equal amount of animations and voice lines.
Right now, the community feels that some aspects of the champion design process are random and not standardized, when they should be, especially since players are paying the same amount for these champions, if they were to get them with RP.
