Super Bowl LVIII is just around the corner with the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the San Fracnisco 49ers. With the biggest advertising event of the year upon us, some of the commercials have been revealed and one has the entire internet laughing.
The Super Bowl is upon us and this year the stakes are even higher than ever before. With Taylor Swift likely in the audience, more people than ever before will be watching this huge sporting event, meaning advertisers have to go all-in this year with their commercials.
Some of the upcoming Super Bowl commercials have been teased and revealed already, and the internet is convinced that Paramount+ has already won the Super Bowl commercial war.
Paramount+ Super Bowl Commercial Sweeps the Internet
Multiple teasers and trailers have started to litter the internet as the hype for the Super Bowl rises. This is the biggest event for advertisers in the US, with a single 30-second ad costing around $7 million according to statista.
Throughout the years, there have been iconic ads, like the 2011 Volkswagen "The Force" spot or the 2014 Budweiser "Puppylove" one. This year, it looks like Paramount+ might have one of the best spots with a crossover so wild the internet just can't believe it.
If anyone ever told you that Master Chief, Peppa Pig, Hey Arnold and Sir Patrick Stewart would be in the same piece of film then you'd probably think they dreamt it up after smoking a fat blunt, right? Well, this is a reality thanks to Paramount+ trying to attract a wide diversity to their streaming service.
While the Paramount+ ads have featured on Mount Paramount the last few years with multiple characters from their shows visible, this crossover is wild. Not to mention that the whole point is the characters trying to climb up a wall, while Knuckles from Sonic is silently watching and conveniently forgetting that he can climb.
Add-in the nostalgia with Hey Arnold, who is the main character of the spot, and you've got a great commercial. Sure, there are definitely going to be more commercials airing during Super Bowl LVIII, but for now Paramount+ has our vote for best commercial of the evening.
