The Best Christmas Movies On Disney+

Disney+ is not only the place to let nostalgia reign and watch The Lion King for the fiftieth time (this week), it's also the top streaming service when it comes to bringing the whole family together. Here are our top picks for some Christmas themed movies for you to enjoy!

Frozen 1 & 2

Let's start with a classic, shall we? Even though Frozen isn't exactly Christmas themed by itself, you can't deny the snowy atmosphere in Frozen. Also, the movie highlights family bonds and that's one huge part about celebrating Christmas together, isn't it? Apart from that, there's never a bad time to watch Frozen.

Frozen tells the story of Elsa and Anna, two sisters that need to reforge their bonds after tragedy struck while simultaneously saving their kingdom.

Home Alone

The movie is over thirty years old at this point, but still ranks high in the top Christmas movies of all time: Home Alone. This could be the year to introduce your own kids to a movie from your own childhood, perhaps?

Kevin is accidentally left home alone when his family leaves for Paris over the Christmas holidays and has to defend the house against thieves thinking Kevin is no match for them. Home invasion typically isn't a joking matter, but watching Kevin booby trap the family home and fighting off the goofy thieves is always a good movie choice for a fun time.

You know what's better than spending the holidays all cozied up with your family in the living room? Doing exactly that, but while watching a movie with adorable puppies: ready for Santa Buddies?

Air Buddies' offsprings are here to save Christmas: the holiday spirit in the world is dwindling and Santa can't deliver presents without the magic coming from the Christmas spirit. It's upon the pups to help Santa out, spread kindness and help people believe in the true meaning of Christmas again.

Meet the Kringle family! These are the folks responsible for Christmas time going off without a hitch every year, ensuring everybody has a good time over the holidays. Noelle is the current Santa and more than ready for Christmas, but her brother Nick – the next Santa in line – loses his nerve and leaves for a spontaneous vacation, leaving the North Pole in utter chaos.

Noelle sets off to bring her brother back and save Christmas. Her journey leads her to the real world – absolutely magical in her eyes – and obviously, things often don't go as planned. The movie's heartwarming, light-hearted and a fun watch for the whole family.

At the end of the day, the movie selection isn't the most important thing – having a good time with your loved ones is. Personally, my brother and I made it a tradition to watch Star Wars Episode III on Christmas Eve, so...
