The perfect antidote to super serious superhero movies returns! Extraordinary will get its deserved season 2, and we've got everything you need to know about that at just a glance: the possible release date, returning cast and even more.
The gang returns and has a whole lot of unfinished business to see to in Extraordinary season 2. The delightful and hilariously written superhero comedy from Disney Plus has not only earned its name, but also really helps with the superhero fatigue.
Jen, the only ordinary grown woman on Earth, is surrounded by people with different superpowers – ability to manipulate time, superhuman strength, you know the drill – and has to manage living life as a normal person (oh, the horrors! I can relate, it's really hard).
So, how and when is the show going to continue? Here's everything there is to know as of now!
Extraordinary Season 2: Release Date Prediction
Extraordinary hadn't even been on Disney Plus for a week when lead actress Máiréad Tyers shared that shooting for season 2 has already started on January 30, 2023.
That means production has been going on for nearly a year at this point, sparking hope that season 2 won't take much longer to finally release. It is supposed to come out in early 2024.
Disney didn't reveal an official release date just yet, but as soon as we've got further info, you can bet we'll let you know! We do know a few other things, though – the old and new cast, to be exact!
Extraordinary Season 2: Old And New Faces In The Cast
The newcomer cast for Extraordinary will see a few additions in season 2, but of course, the beloved gang will return and grace our screens again. That, of course, includes Máiréad Tyers as Jen, Luke Rollason as Jizzlord, Sofia Oxenham as Carrie and Bilal Hasna as Kash. Jen's mum and her stepdad Ian come back too, portrayed by Siobhán McSweeney and Robbie Gee.
Disney also shared a few details about the new faces to look forward to. These include Julian Barratt as George, Jen's new power coach. Rosa Robson will shed light on Jizzlord's past as Nora and Kwaku Mills joins the cast as Clark, a new colleague of Carrie's.
The new season is going to have eight more episodes, also written by genius Emma Moran. As soon as there's more to report, a trailer to share or if Disney even moves a single finger regarding Extraordinary, we'll make sure to keep you posted!
