The world of adult animated shows is big and vast. Adult Swim's Rick and Morty was a smash hit from the start, highly meme-able back in 2013 with its initial release. Being “smart enough” to watch Rick and Morty was kind of a weird flex at the time.

Justin Roiland, co-creator of the show and voice of both Rick and Morty, faced serious charges for domestic violence. Even though they were later dropped due to lack of evidence, the team behind the show still decided to part ways with Roiland and season 7 will be the first we see of Rick and Morty without him. So far, the show looks just as good, but we're only a couple episodes in. So when is episode 10 coming out? Easy, December 17. Mark your calendars for the season finale!

The departure of Justin Roiland doesn't stop the rest of the team, though. Adult Swim had an order of 70 episodes, and that's what Rick and Morty is going to deliver, with or without Roiland.

Who Voices Rick And Morty If Not Justin Roiland?

The team behind Rick and Morty have kept quiet on the topic of Roiland's replacement until the release of season 7.

Now that the show made its debut on Adult Swim, we know who took over the mantle from Justin Roiland, and it's in fact two people. For season 7 (and probably more to come), Ian Cardoni has taken it upon himself to voice the one and only Rick Sanchez, while Harry Belden now voices Morty.

Both voice-actors aren't major names in the industry yet, but looking at their performance so far, they're doing an amazing job at replacing Roiland. If you want to check it out for yourself, here's the trailer Adult Swim dropped prior to the launch of Rick and Morty season 7.

We can't ignore the fact that Justin Roiland not only voiced the show's most important character (they found worthy replacements for that), but he was also the co-creator of the show, leaving Dan Harmon alone.

Although the trailer looks pretty much like the usual Rick and Morty shenanigans, the show could still turn out quite different from before! Did they lose their edge? We'll have to watch the show to find out!
