LMGs have been far more viable in Vanguard than we've seen in previous Call of Duty's, hence, so many of them make the top 5 list. As a general rule, this generation of LMGs have much higher mobility and lower recoil than we've previously seen, and that's allowed them to start competing for the long-range AR role. We saw this reach game-breaking heights with the Bren in Season 1, but it seems as though the Whitley is creeping up the meta ranking.

As is with every long range build, we want as much recoil control, bullet velocity and range as possible, and this is the attachment combo you have to use in order to achieve that. The Whitley isn't the absolute meta, but it's crept up the meta ranking for quite some time now. I'm never upset when I pick this gun up while looting, but is it a gun I would use in a loadout? Not sure if it's there yet, but for all the players that like LMGs, this is definitely a viable gun.

This build was popularized by the movement king JoeWo, and after trying it myself, I gotta say, I do love this build of the Armaguerra. Its strong point is its strafe speed, which is just absolutely ludicrous. You'll be whizzing around in gun fights, and your enemies won't be able to keep up. Definitely give this gun a try, you won't be disappointed.

If you're going to be the slower, LMG player on the team, then consider the Heartbeat Sensor. There's a much longer wait between scanning pulses now (and that was a nerf the game needed) but they're still absolutely clutch when your team is unsure about a building or new area. Besides the Heartbeat Sensor, we've taken Semtex because you just can't go wrong with these grenades.

With so much shrubbery on Caldera, Combat Scout is working fantastically well, so we'll take that. In perk slot 2, Overkill, an obvious choice for a 2-primary loadout like this. Then to end, we'll take Cold-Blooded because it's the direct counter to two very popular perks right now: Combat Scout, and High Alert. The Whitley is a phenomenal weapon, but if you like this kind of firepower, you should also check out the PKM, which still slaps all these years later.
