We have the best MX9 setup and loadout for Warzone 2.0 for you below. We quite like the SMG version of the AUG, but unfortunately the mag-size is a bit too small for Warzone.
The MX9 is basically the SMG variant of the AUG, which also existed in Warzone 1. Back then it was solid, but it's definitely weaker, which is mainly due to the fact that it can have a maximum of 32 shots per magazine - that's just not enough in Warzone. The MX9 is unfortunately not a meta weapon, but with the right setup it can be viable, especially in close combat.
- If you are looking for the absolute top weapons, we already have a ranking of the best weapons in Warzone 2.0 for you.
Warzone 2.0: MX9 Setup
Slot | Attachment | Unlock | Tuning |
Muzzle | SA Schalldämpfer 99 | Lachmann-Sub to Level 18 | Aim Down Sight Speed (-0.95 oz) / Bullet Velocity (+0.16 in) |
Barrel | 508mm Rear Guard | STB 556 to Level 11 | Aim Walking Speed (-0.20 oz) / Aim Down Sight Speed (-0.15 in) |
Laser | VLK LZR 7mw | STB 556 to Level 5 | Default |
Comb | FTAC C11 Riser | MX9 to Level 5 | Aim Walking Speed (-0.25 oz) / Aim Down Sight Speed (-0.05 in) |
Magazine | 32 Round Mag | MX9 to Level 2 | Default |
The MX9, like any SMG, isn't great at longer distances, so we're trying to increase bullet velocity and range where we can. We achieve this primarily through the barrel and the silencer. With the comb and the laser we improve our mobility, while the magazine is mandatory even if it does only provide 6 extra rounds. But, we don't use a sight with this setup because the iron sights are perfectly fine and are definitely sufficient for most distances.
When tuning, we try to improve ADS speed above all else. The MX9 only excels at short range anyway, so we're trying to improve speed as well as range.
Warzone 2.0 MX9 Loadout: Secondary Weapon, Perks & Equipment
Secondary Weapon: TAQ-56
With an SMG like the MX9, which serves us well in close combat, we obviously need a second weapon for longer distances. At the moment there are really only two serious options: the TAQ-56 and the RPK. The RPK is a bit slower as an LMG, which is why we choose the TAQ-56 in this loadout. The TAQ is pretty damn strong at medium to long ranges and easy to use with low recoil. If you want, you can of course choose a different sight, we only decided on the Vortex because we find it a very clean optic for 3x.- Here is our comprehensive TAQ-56 Warzone 2.0 loadout.
Perks (Basic, Bonus & Ultimate)
Of all the perk packages, Specter is simply the best:
Perk Package | Spectre |
Basic Perks | Double Time / Tracker |
Bonus Perks | Spotter |
Ultimatite Perk | Ghost |
Ghost is incredibly important with the constant UAV spam in Warzone 2.0, so unfortunately we have to forego Overkill. Simply buy one of the two weapons at a buy station during the match and take the Specter package with you in your loadout. Double Time and Tracker are also very helpful, especially in fights at shorter distances. Spotter, on the other hand, is very situational and usually doesn't matter. But hey, the overall package is solid.
Equipment (Lethal & Tactical)
Here we have the best equipment for an aggressive SMG loadout:
Lethal | Throwing Knife |
Tactical | Stims |
For players who like to push aggressively, Stims are a must (if you don't feel like it, we recommend Flashbangs). With Stims you can quickly heal up in battle or survive in the gas for a while. You can also use the throwing knives to finish downed opponents quickly and efficiently.
