Fans of the new The Boys spin-off, Gen V have recently discovered a cool Easter Egg in season 3.
Gen V is the newest entry in the Boys franchise and while the spin-off features a ton of references to the original show, most of you probably missed the Easter Egg in The Boys season 3.
The Boys walked so Gen V could run or so they say, but it looks like the producers had already worked with the entertaining spin-off in mind, when they worked their latest installment of Butcher and friends.
The news, that The Boys won't immediately continue with season 4 and instead will take a small detour with the Gen V spin-off, might have rubbed some fans the wrong way.
Still, Gen V holds up the high standards that the original set and appears to be well integrated in the plot of The Boys. This becomes evident with all kinds of references to several incidents and characters, like Homelander being on trial for murdering a protester that the end of season 3.
In short, you can feel the impact of The Boys storylines in Gen V, but did you know that the same can be said the other way around?Okay, sure, you can't really argue that Gen V has the same impact on The Boys' storylines as the other way around, but that's also because the show is set after the Events of season 3. So maybe we will get some more important Easter Eggs for Gen V in The Boys season 4.
One main character, though, already made an appearance in The Boys season 3, and you probably didn't even realize it.
The Boys Season 3 Already Featured Main Character Of Gen V
In the second episode of The Boys season 3, Hughie visits the Red River Institute, which serves as an orphanage for Supe children, to investigate the past of Victoria Neumann, his boss.
While Hughie is scrolling through the database, eagle-eyed fans spotted a picture of the 17-year-old Marie before she was even introduced in Gen V.

At that time, Marie was still living at the Red River Institute, which was later addressed via Flashbacks in the spin-off, before applying at Godolkin University. The timeline sorta checks out.
This might not be the last Easter Egg like this, as The Boys creator Eric Kripke and the showrunner for Gen V Michele Fazekas that maybe we can expect some more crossover cameos.
One thing that Kripke emphasized in an interview with Collider is that he still wants the stories to be self-contained, unlike the MCU.
Oh, yeah, that's true. Marie had a little Easter egg. As long as you don't need to see the other show to enjoy the one you're watching, then we're totally open to that stuff.
This means that we will probably get some characters referring to the events of Gen V for the most part, because otherwise it would complicate things and deviate from Kripke's vision.
