Goodbye Daredevil and Jessica Jones: Marvel are going to remove all of their popular Netflix show.
Netflix and Marvel already stopped their partnership in 2019, shortly before everyone's favorite entertainment giant started their own streaming service Disney+. Now they are finally pulling the plug for good and are going to remove all Marvel shows from Netflix. Quickly start binging Daredevil, Jessica Jones or Defenders, because you don't have a long time left...
Marvel Is Removing All Of Its Netflix Shows
All shows that are part of the Marvel universe are going to be removed from Netflix by March 1. That includes the following shows:
- Daredevil
- Jessica Jones
- Luke Cage
- Iron Fist
- The Defenders
- The Punisher
All gone, and that only in two weeks. We apologize for the short notice, but also that's not our fault: Netflix kept their mouth shut about it. The fact that Marvel is going to remove all of their shows from the streaming platform was never officially announced. Instead, some people saw a message, which said that the shows would leave Netflix on March 1, when trying to watch one of the programs. But only some people saw it, some didn't... what the heck, Netflix?
I understand Netflix though. Kind of. These shows were always big for them, some of the first exclusives and real figureheads for the platform. But it's just like with a relationship that didn't work out: you hang on for as long as you can, but one day you have to realize that they're gone, bro.
It hasn't been officially announced yet, whether these shows will appear on Disney+ instead but come on, why wouldn't they? Marvel already has shows like WandaVision or Loki on there and is already planning to release new ones this year. Having this back catalog of classic shows would only make sense then.
