What can you say: FIFA 22 has only been out since October 1 - but developer EA Sports is already touting its success. The published numbers and statistics are simply crazy. We as players have contributed to these numbers, as every game, every goal and every minute you spend in the game is being tracked.Over there at EA, they will be rubbing their hands and other things, when they see these kinds of numbers. David Jackson, VP Brand at EA SPORTS FIFA, notes that the growth of the global football platform is proceeding at an "incredible pace." FIFA 21 and 20 already set record after record, and FIFA 22 will likely smash it all again.

Playing Time, Goals, Celebrations: Insane Statistics for FIFA 22

On Twitter, EA gave an insight into the numbers and statistics for FIFA 22 so far. 5 billion goals have been scored so far. Players have competed in 2.1 billion matches and spent 12 billion minutes on the field. An average of 89 million matches are played every day. That FIFA is loved and played globally (so please don't change the name) is no surprise. FIFA 22 has been started at least once in over 200 countries around the world. The most picked team in kick-off and season mode is Paris Saint-Germain. With Messi, Neymar and Mbappé, it's a no-brainer. Players started with PSG more than 15 million times.

The most common way to celebrate a goal is the knee slide. A bit lame, in our opinion. FIFA 22 has so many new celebrations that deserve to be seen. By the way: Have you already checked out VOLTA? 21 million matches have already been played. Not bad either. Pro Clubs is much more popular, though: 58 million matches have been played by the multiplayer teams. In career mode, 3.1 million clubs have been created by the players. The top signings have also been revealed. No one was signed as often as Dortmund's Erling Haaland. Kylian Mbappé comes right after that. His contract expires at the end of the season, so he does not cost the same crazy amount he did in the previous games. Behind them in this ranking are Jude Bellingham, Alphonso Davies, Ansu Fati, Eduardo Camavinga and Matthijs de Ligt. Barca's top talent Pedri is just ahead of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Ryan Gravenberch rounds out the top 10.Simply insane numbers, that EA is putting out here. The success story of FIFA seems to continue and nothing can stop it.
