Assassin's Creed Mirage is not even out yet, but the devs already spoke about their post-launch plans for the coming game.
Assassin's Creed Mirage will be the next installment of the Assassin's Creed series and go back to the roots of AC. In Mirage, players will take on the role of Basim and be able to explore Bagdad and journey to Alamut, the legendary home of the Assassins who laid the foundations of the Creed.
The game will release on October 12, 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, EPIC, PC, and Amazon Luna, however, the devs already spoke about AC Mirage's post-launch content.
No DLC or Post-Launch Content for AC Mirage
Yes, it's as easy as that. Currently, there are no plans whatsoever for post-launch content! Creative Director Stéphane Boudon said so himself in a post on reddit, in which he answered questions of the community. He specifically said:
For now, Mirage has no plan for DLC or extensive post-launch.
While we already knew that AC Mirage would be a smaller game compared to its massive predecessor AC Valhalla, this still is kind of disappointing. Apparently, it is supposed to be approximately the size of AC Unity or AC Syndicate, which both got a few expansions and post-launch content.
Well, that's all we know so far, but if you are a huge Assassin's Creed fan you don't have to worry, there is a lot to look forward too:
