Assassin's Creed Hexe is one of the upcoming AC releases, and it seems to be set during the time of the witch hunts.
So get this... we are currently expecting Assassin's Creed Infinity, Assassin's Creed Mirage, Assassin's Creed Codename Red, and Assassin's Creed Hexe. Yeah... that reads like me spamming AC, but it's actually the truth. If you want to read about AC Codename Red - which is set in Feudal Japan - then you can do so here. As for AC Mirage, we got you covered on that front here, and the live-service Infinity is fully covered here. This article however, focuses on the latest Assassin's Creed game: Hexe.
Assassin's Creed: Hexe Announced
The trailer doesn't give us much, except for room to speculate: We see the familiar logo, a heptagram, a seven-pointed star, all looking like a twigs-y Witchcraft talisman... yeah this is all pointing towards witches being involved in this one. After all, 'Hexe' literally means witch in German, so when we consider the language link, then we have to consider the infamous Bamberg Witch Trials - a tragic witch hunt that took place in Germany in the 1600s.
To be fair, all of this is just pure speculation, because Ubisoft didn't announce much surrounding AC Hexe, other than the fact it exists and who's developing it: The director of Far Cry 2, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, and Watch Dogs Legion is helming this AC project, which will definitely somehow be tied into Assassin's Creed Infinity.
