Diablo 4 has so-called Silent Chests and some players might be confused about how to open them. So here is a guide for you.
Blizzard's Diablo 4 offers many ways to farm loot, including dungeons, world events, and chests. Chests however come in various types, and one new type of chest is the Silent Chest that is locked and can only be opened with a specific item. We'll show you how to do it.
Diablo 4: How To Open Silent Chests
To open Silent Chests in Diablo 4, you need to purchase a Whispering Key from the Purveyor of Curiosities in the hub city of Kyovashad. One key costs 20 Murmuring Obols, which can be obtained by completing in-game events marked on your map with large orange circles.

Once you have the key, you can use it to open Silent Chests, which contain valuable loot and are found in various locations throughout the world of Sanctuary, although they are rare and not commonly found. To spot a Silent Chest, look for glowing gold chains with a big lock on them.
Remember to keep exploring the huge shared world of Diablo 4 to find more Silent Chests, and always make sure to buy a couple of Whispering Keys when you come across a Purveyor of Curiosities. After all, you don't want to find a Silent Chests and not be able to open it, right?
The Silent Chests can basically be hidden anywhere, so we won't provide a list with the exact locations, it's way more fun to find them yourself... Also, while they do contain some nice loot, it's not like they will drop you any legendaries, at least we never got one from them.
And that's it, easy-peasy. Just make sure to buy some Whispering Keys when you are in town and you are set.
