Just read on if you want to know where you can find the Moonveil Katana.

Where Do I Find The Moonveil Katana in Elden Ring?

The Moonveil Katana can be found in the Gael Tunnel dungeon. The dungeon is located at the very edge of the Caelid area, almost exactly on the border of the Limgrave starting area. You can theoretically go straight to this dungeon from the first minute of the game, although we wouldn't recommend it.

The easiest way to find the entrance is to start at the northern site of grace "Rotview Balcony". From here, ride south across a graveyard with open coffins. Jump off the cliff at the end of the graveyard and the entrance to the Gael Tunnel should be right behind you.

The dungeon is relatively easy and, as usual, houses a boss. The Magma Wyrm can knock your socks off pretty easily. The fastest way to defeat it is to stay close to it at all times. Of course, after you slay the dragon, you'll receive a dragon heart and.... the Moonveil Katana.

Elden Ring: What Makes The Moonveil Katana So Strong

The Moon Veil Katana deals physical and magical damage, and has the passive effect of causing bleeding – plus the amazing skill "Transient Moonlight". Bleeding is currently considered one of the best status effects in Elden Ring. Each hit builds up a little more bleed, and once a certain limit is exceeded, the victim loses an enormous amount of HP in one hit.But that's not all, as bleeding is caused by all Katanas in Elden Ring. What makes the Moonveil Katana so special is the weapon's unique skill, Transient Moonlight. When you use this skill, you shift into a special stance from which you can then shoot a vertical or horizontal wave of light with a light or heavy attack. This wave of light deals magic and bleed damage and breaks the stance of most normal enemies. You can even break the stance of some bosses. Also, the skill is pretty darn fast, so there's no long buildup during which you can be interrupted. So yeah... it's really amazing.

What Are The Stats For The Moonveil Katana?

The Moonveil Katana requires 12 Strength, 18 Dexterity and 23 Intelligence to be used effectively. So even though you can get the Katana pretty quickly, you'll have to invest a few level ups into these stats first. The weapon scales with Strength E, Dexterity D, and Intelligence C. Because of this scaling, the Moonveil Katana is especially suitable for battle mages, players who rely on magic but also want a good melee weapon.
