Evo 2023 is the biggest fighting game tournament around the world. It's this time of the year again, where legends are born and the community across the world comes together. We have everything gathered you need to know about this event!
The legendary Evolution Championship Series (Evo) goes way back to 1996, still called "Battle by the Bay" only involving Super Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter Alpha 2. Time flies and the community grew larger by the minute. The massive popularity interest leads to a rebranding in 2002: Evolution Championship Series is born.
Now including all different kinds of fighting games. Having incredibly scene splay out right on stage, like the historic "Evo moment 37" – the legendary moment, Daigo perfectly parried every hit from Justin, while the crowd went insane. This still gives me shivers of excitement.
With Evo 2023 quickly approaching, the website got updated on multiple things, like the schedule for every game, how many participants are planned and more. Let's take a look!

Several talented newcomers and experienced professionals have shown great potential. I look forward to their continued efforts, making next year's Evo even more fantastic than this one.
The E-Sports Evolution will host the Evolution Championship Series 2024 again, and it will return to Las Vegas from July 26 to 28, 2024. Additionally, Nevada governor Joe Lombardo proclaimed August 6 as "EVO Day" in the state.
