OK everyone, it's happening: we might be seeing the first footage of GTA 6 here. I'm serious, this looks legit. Tons of images and videos of the game got leaked online, including a whopping 90 (!) videos showing the game in action. Let's take a closer look at what the heck just happened here.

Massive GTA 6 Leak Reveals Tons of Videos & Screenshots

In the early hours of September 18, a literal ton of videos and screenshots started popping up on the internet, claiming to be showing GTA 6. This is apparently the work of a notorious hacker who also nabbed Uber recently. And while we have to emphasize that there is no 100% guarantee that this is real, as with anything that isn't officially revealed, it really does look legit. 90 videos, bro.

In those, you see Vice City, the two protagonists of the game (which are all but confirmed and who apparently are called Lucia and Jason) and tons of material that is too detailed and new to be faked. Jason Schreier, who revealed first info on GTA 6 in Bloomberg, claims that he got confirmation from Rockstar employees and that the videos are legit.

If this is GTA 6, and we can at this point confidently assume that it is, it's footage from a very early stage of development. In most of the videos, you see debugging and developer tools, some have the year 2021 displayed in them. And the state of the game is pretty rough, animations and textures are missing etc. It's still unmistakably GTA, though.

We got footage from a club, footage from a fast food joint, tons of animation tests and so on. I haven't watched all 90 videos, but here's one example of the many things that the leaks revealed: one of the videos shows the male protagonist Jason interacting with an NPC while having a rifle hanging across his shoulder. Looks like Rockstar has taken some lessons from RDR 2 and applied them to GTA. Exciting!

If you want to see more from this unintentional first look, go out and find those leaks, they're everywhere. We will refer you to a certain gaming forum on Reddit, you know which one we mean. But I know Rockstar is sending their death squad of lawyers on this case, so get it while you can.
