GTA 6 Getting Single-Player DLC!

A Rockstar insider has leaked plans for single-player DLC coming for GTA 6. This is a significant step in the right direction for Rockstar and their neglected single-player fans.

Before GTA Online came along and ruined everything this would never have been news (and to those protesting: sure, GTA RP streams are fun, but you know what we mean about the main product being neglected). Back in the good old days you could reliably expect RPGs to get some form of an expansion if they sold well. But now we live in the age of Shark cards. Hell, even Red Dead 2 never got an Undead Nightmares DLC, so frankly we should be ecstatic about Rockstar even considering single-player content anymore...

This news come from an insider who loves to post on the Rockstar forums, and they're usually pretty reliable, so we're confident about it. This is the same fella that originally told us about the female protagonist and the Puerto Rican location. Let's get to the deets.

Insider Reveals Plans For GTA 6's Single-Player DLC

The insider Tez2 (who is known as an absolute leak-fiend in the world of GTA forums) has reappeared once again, this time Tez2 has revealed that GTA 6 will be releasing single-player DLC post-launch. Here's exactly what Tez2 said:

Rockstar will go back to how they were planning future content before GTA Online success boomed. The first wave of ‘new cities and missions’ we will receive as DLC will definitely be planned out before VI releases. And Rockstar will be able to allocate resources towards whatever new title they will work on after VI release.

Yep, you read that right, we aren't just getting new missions, but also new locations! What is this? Rockstar are never usually this generous? Just look what they did to their "beloved remasters" recently... But hey, we don't want to complain, this sounds awesome:

As for the new cities, I think for the most part we will receive instanced new cities or islands. Like Cayo Perico or North Yankton style. That way, Rockstar can introduce a new heist for the next GTA Online mode with each new DLC. If we are lucky, we could receive a fully fledged new city from time to time.

So this new content will also be used for GTA-Online, but the fact it gives anything to single-player fans is worth celebrating. We really hope this comes to pass.

Is this what GTA needs to remain on the throne? Or will contenders like this finally be able to challenge Rockstar?
