We've been talking a lot about the recent leaks that Alloc8or bumped onto the GTA Forums a few days ago. What requires the most attention out of everything that was leaked, though, are the possible Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Minimum and Recommended System Requirements that were revealed.

Before we present you with the system requirements for the remastered GTA Trilogy, though, we do want to provide a few caveats first. The most important point is that this information, as with the other leaks, is not officially corroborated by Rockstar Games. Thus, it is always possible that we are completely off the mark here. The thing is: Alloc8tor has been pretty reliable in the past, and is a generally trusted leaker, so these could totally be legit!

The GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition System Requirements

GTA Trilogy – Definitive Edition: Minimum System Requirements

  • Intel Core i5-2700K / AMD FX-6300
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 45 GB Storage Space
  • Windows 10

GTA Trilogy – Definitive Edition: Recommended System Requirements

  • Intel Core i7-6600K / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 4GB / AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB
  • 16 GB RAM
  • 45 GB Storage Space
  • Windows 10

The most notable thing about the listed system requirements for the GTA Trilogy is that the game will take about 45GB of HDD storage space. If you add all the original three games' size, then they equal an amount only minimally more than 5GB. Rockstar Games are dubiously famous for being insanely bad at optimizing their games, so this could be the reason for this file-size bloat, but it seems more likely that a full remake might be on the books.

Now, keep in mind that it seems that there is a typo with the Intel CPU specifications, but other than that, one thing becomes very clear when you read through these requirements: this game could look better than GTA V! Why? Well, these specifications are more intense than those of Grand Theft Auto V, and less intense than those for Red Dead Redemption.

This is not so surprising, though. We can't expect that these games will look anywhere near as good as Red Dead Redemption 2, that game's just insane. What does seem realistic, though, is the prospect of GTA V-style graphics, and the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition's minimum and recommended system requirements actually look pretty promising for this to legitimately be the case. Are you hyped? We're hyped!
