Internal Xbox documents were revealed, showing that IO Interactive’s new game will come exclusively to Xbox.
The most recent Hitman trilogy by IO Interactive was so incredibly good, that anything new by this studio is bound to be super exciting. However, it looks like their new projects won’t be available to everyone, as IOI’s next game has now been revealed to be Xbox exclusive.
IO Interactive’s New Fantasy Game To Be A Microsoft Exclusive
During the ongoing FTC trial about Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, many interesting documents have been revealed about Microsoft and their business. This also included a document about IO Interactive and their upcoming fantasy game, currently code named “Project Dragon”.
This document reveals, that Xbox has an exclusivity deal for this game and that it will only be releases on Xbox Series and PC. More concretely, the overview text states that“IOI is currently developing Project 007 as well as Project Dragon for XGS Publishing.”

We don’t know what Project Dragon, which is described as an “RPG Shooter” here, will be. IOI only released one descriptive text on the game’s website, calling it “an online fantasy RPG” that “feels familiar” but will be “a journey unlike any we have been on before”. Sign me up!
