Lords of the Fallen was one of the first good Souls-like games not made by FromSoftware. Now, the game is makinga comeback.

Remember when Lords of the Fallen was first released in 2014? It was one of many Souls-like games, but it was one of the first competent ones. The game was loved by Souls-purists (they're also going to love this game), so it is no surprise that the series is now getting a reboot, because... there was a lot of potential left on the table.

Lords of the Fallen Reboot Trailer
Like the original, Lords of the Fallen will be set in a dark fantasy world. In fact, it will take place in the same world as the original, but will massively expand on the original's ideas: The game is set a thousand years after the first game, in a world that is technically the same, but "more than five times larger", split between the world of the living, and the world of the dead.

The game's protagonist will be fully customizable, and Lords of the Fallen will feature a single-player campaign, as well as online co-op. As you can see from the trailer, all the action is set to the beauty of Unreal Engine 5, so don't expect this one to come to last-gen consoles: Lords of the Fallen is PS5, PC and Xbox Series X only. There is no release date yet, but Lords of the Fallen will get a full gameplay reveal at the end of the year.
