Want to know how to quickly farm EXP in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet? In this guide, we show you multiple ways to increase progress and quickly level up your team of Pokémon.
Leveling up your Pokémon is usually not much of a problem, and that also applies to Scarlet & Violet. But in the endgame, leveling up to be ready for challenges like the raids and some of the strongest trainers, which are around level 70, can be a bit of a pain in the latest Pokémon titles. Thankfully, there are multiple ways to speed up the process.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How To Farm EXP
If you're looking for the quickest ways to level up your Pokémon, you've come to the right place: we will show you several tips on how you can quickly farm EXP.
Tera Raids and EXP Candies
One of the best ways to farm EXP is to participate in Tera Raid Battles. You can join a Tera Raid matching your current level at any time from your Poké Portal. Fighting (and winning) in these raids won't give you a ton of EXP itself, but you will be rewarded with EXP candies, and those are very delicious indeed.
Each candy will give your Pokémon a set amount of EXP. Here are all stats about candies and in what types of raids they drop:
Type of Candy | EXP Amount | Type of Raid |
XS Exp. Candy | 100 | 1 star |
S Exp. Candy | 800 | 1-2 stars |
M Exp. Candy | 3,000 | 2-4 stars |
L Exp. Candy | 10,000 | 4-6 stars |
XL Exp. Candy | 30,000 | 5-6 stars |
Use Ham Sandwiches & The Lucky Egg
Another surefire way to get tons of EXP is through farming certain Pokémon. We'll get to that. Before you go on a mission though, you should have your ham & eggs ready – literally. Ham sandwiches will increase the amount of encounters in an area, so you should make sure to eat one when you go farming.
Also, you shouldn't forget about your beautiful egg. I am obviously referring to the Lucky Egg, which you get from Jacq after defeating five gym trainers and going to the sixth gym (which ones those are doesn't matter).
The Lucky Egg will give a whopping 50% EXP boost for the Pokémon that's holding it. You absolutely shouldn't do with out that.
Farm Chansey & Blissey
You can go to any populated area and farm the respective Pokémon. But the best area to do that in is in the northern part of Paldea, more concretely in Area Three, west of the Team Star Fairy base. Here, you can find Chansey and Blissey en masse, which will both give you tons of EXP for fairly easy fights.
Remember our previous tips: eat a ham sandwich and give your Pokémon the Lucky Egg to increase the number of Pokémon you can fight and the amount of EXP your little monsters will get for it.
