Did you ever wonder about a Red Dead Redemption PS5 release? Well, you should, because it could happen soon...-ish.
Listen, we can't always talk about the Red Dead Redemption remaster or when Red Dead Redemption 3 finally releases. Sometimes, we gotta talk about the middle child too, or else it will feel like we're ignoring it (no, absolutely not personally involved in that topic... not at all).
Playing Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2022 feels like the game came out two months ago, right? The graphic and the gameplay feel and look amazing. Then you're reminded that it actually came out in 2018, and you think: "Huh... then a PS5 remake could happen, right?"
Yes. Yes it absolutely could. And there's a reason we're bringing this up now. Time to get excited, cowboys.
Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 Remake Announcement Possible in 2022
According to AccNgt, an insider for the video game industry, the chances for an RDR2 PS5 patch announcement in 2022 are very high... even though a release isn't. And that honestly makes sense. 2022 seems to be a huge one for Rockstar Games when it comes to announcements. Like AccNgt states in that same tweet, the Red Dead Redemption remake is in development, and we've heard this from multiple sources now.
Maybe 2022 will be the year of Red Dead Redemption. After all, GTA 5 already got its PS5 upgrade, and it looks insanely good. Who's to say that RDR 2 won't get the same attention?
I just wonder what that would look like. How much further can you take graphics? It probably wouldn't change much, right? Like the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, they might just tweak some lighting and VFX, but the overall game would stay the same. But those are just my two cents.
As always with these news, none of this is confirmed, and you need to take all of this with your usual grain of salt. However, should we indeed hear more about a Red Dead Redemption 2 PS5 patch, we will update this article immediately.
