Nintendo Switch is using cloud-gaming to bring some games to the system that would otherwise never run on the console - like Resident Evil 7.
So, the Nintendo Switch has long been playing catch-up to the Steam Deck. Actually... that's not true: The Steam Deck only just released this year and the Switch's been playing catch-up since. Well, that... doesn't change now, because the Steam Deck is still the superior system in every way imaginable, but, thanks to cloud-gaming, the Switch is getting a AAA boost.
Resident Evil 7 Is Coming to Nintendo Switch
While Resident Evil 7 is highighting the RE releases coming to the Switch, it must be noted that the remakes of Resident Evil 2 & 3 are also great games. Certainly, all three games should still present a graphical revolution to Switch-only owners, who are probably thanking the Nintendo Gods every day for dipping their toe into the 21st century and enabling cloud gaming.
The Resident Evil announcement were parts of the Nintendo Direct, and Resident Evil Village will become available on the cloud on October 28. Even better, even the DLC is coming to the Switch on December 2, and the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 will join the party later this year.
If you haven't played a Resident Evil game yet, and you own a Switch, then this is your chance, and you should jump at it: The remakes, as well as the series' latest entry are some of the best Resident Evil games available. Connect to the cloud and get the most out of your Switch.
