Riot Reveals Exciting 2v2 Fights In Project L
The format behind Project L's 2v2 fights is one that long-standing fans of the Tekken franchise will already be familiar with. Riot will be making use of the tag team system, popularized through Tag Team Wrestling and previously used in Tekken Tag Tournament. With this system, your player 1 will be fighting the opponent's player 1, looking for the perfect moment to throw player 2 into the mix. Your player 2 will then unleash their combo onto the unlucky soul on the other side of the fight.
They also revealed so-called fuses, which act similarly to augments in Teamfight Tactics or LoL's new Arena mode. One of those fuses allows you to call upon your partner to combine your ultimates. Another one allows you as player 2 to assist your partner with twice as many moves.
Riot Games Will Attend Evo 2023 To Present Project L To The Fighting Games Community
Riot also revealed that they will be attending Evo 2023 on August 4-6, letting players at the Las Vegas-based event have their first experience of Project L. Four champions will be available to play, just enough for the 2v2 mode.
