In the past, Steam Sales were typically announced shortly before they began, but fortunately, that's changed. Valve has already provided us with an idea of what they have planned for the first half of 2024. This allows game developers and players to prepare for upcoming events and promotions.

Steam Sales 2024: Sales And Fests

Here's a breakdown of what Steam events are all about, along with the schedule for the first half of 2024. So make sure to save up some bucks for the following events:

  • Major Seasonal Sales – Valve host Steam-wide seasonal sales four times a year. All released games can technically be included. So you as a player might even be able to enjoy some brand-new games for a cheaper price.
  • Themed Sale Events (Fests) – These special events focus on specific types of games, each with its own rules for participation. While they mainly feature discounted games, there's also room for free games, upcoming releases, and games with demos.
  • Steam Next Fest Steam Next Fest happens three times a year and lasts for several days. It's a chance for fans to try out game demos, chat with developers, watch live streams, and learn about upcoming Steam games. For game developers, it's a great way to get feedback from players and build excitement for their future Steam releases.
