Valheim turned from an indie sensation into a PC gaming pillar. Now, the game will likely make its mobile debut, with the release of the Steam Deck.
Valheim was playable on mobile before, but it was a bit of a chore to get it running. With the release of the Steam Deck, that's all set to change, and developer Iron Gate Studios plans to have the game running smoothly, ensuring you can fangirl over your Viking-survival experience everywhere.
Valheim Will Be Playable On The Steam Deck
Iron Gate Studios plans to have Valheim running on the Steam Deck for its release. That means, the first lucky few can already play Valheim on the go this February.

There's your proof, folks. The game is already running on the Steam Deck, and, also, it is getting more updates: Iron Gate is planning a huge mountain update, as well as the Mistlands biome expansion that is announced for 2022.
It's still insane when you consider that Valheim was made by 5 developers, and is still being handled by those exact 5 people. Considering the crazy success it's had, it's mind-blowing that they have it ready for the Steam Deck already, while simultaneously working on a new biome and more updates to the game. There are many big-time devs who could learn from Iron Gate Studios.
If you don't own Valheim yet, now's the time: For all of February, they are celebrating their anniversary, and many things are 25% off, including the game itself.
