In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, there are several fossils to be found. Here'S everything you need to know about Eldin’s Colossal Fossil.
In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you'll frequently come across strange things. Whether it's a cherry blossom tree, ruin, or giant skeleton, there's usually a hidden quest or a Korok waiting to be discovered. Frankly, the game does everything to deviate you from your main quest and tries to lure you into further exploring of their beautiful designed open world.
One of these side quests is the Colossal Fossil series, that starts with this one: the Eldin's Colossal Fossil.
Zelda Tears of the Kingdom: Eldin’s Colossal Fossil Walkthrough
It's possible you stumble across this giant skeleton while exploring the Eldin Mountains off the beaten tracks. Or you'll probably meet Loone while on your way to the Akkala Science Lab on your journey to get the Travel Medallion. You will meet Loone a little bit up the road from the East Akkala Stable, in front of a warning sign from the Yiga Clan.
How To Get To Eldin’s Colossal Fossil
If you take a close look on the map, you can already see the shape of the fossil! It's truly colossal if it's shown on a map... So of course you can make your way through Deep Akkala to the Eldin Moutains or you could travel to the nearest Skyview Tower, which is the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower. If you have enough stamina you can glide all the way to the fossil or at least get close enough to shorten your walk.
Once you find the fossil, it's your quest to complete the skeleton again, so you have to find out which parts are missing. Psst, we will tell you, it's the eye on the right side. Well, that's actually no surprise considering how rare it is to find organs like an EYE as a fossil, that's the real sensation if you ask me (*former archaeology student)! And the solution is not that far away.

Beneath the behemoth, you'll find its missing eye buried by a pile of rocks. You can smack them with care, not to damage the fossil, just like a good archaeologist would do, or simply throw a bomb flower at the rocks. Now you just use Ultrahand to maneuver the eyeball back to its socket.
It's pretty easy to find the fitting position, and it soon will click in. Once you've managed that, you can admire and mourn the long dead leviathan in its restored beauty. Or you just head over to Loone to brag about your accomplishment and collect 50 rupees from her. She now will tell you about another colossal fossil, found in Hebra. If you want to head there, be sure to prepare for the cold!Chances are good that you'll sooner or later meet a Gleeok. Be prepared to fight them!
