Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a joy to watch and to play most of the time, but at some points of the game Nintendo can't hide that the Switch is limited in its power. Especially one dungeon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom makes the Switch sweat – and it's not because of the dungeon's high temperatures.
There is so much to experience in Tears of the Kingdom, but one thing Zelda fans always look forward to the most are the dungeons! Often they are a big factor in how the game will be remembered. This makes the poor performance of one of the dungeons in TotK even worse.

So fire dungeons have never been my favorite, but this one is really struggling and not only because of its design. Although the performance of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is really fine most of the time, in the Fire Temple the Switch is truly showing its age and struggling quite hard.

The game's frame rate is dropping heavily inside the fire dungeon. Especially in the wider areas, where you can see the depths in the background, frame drops are happening almost non-stop. Don't take out your Ultrahand or the problem will increase even more.
At the moment this seems to be the only big issue in the game, unlike Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, where these are everyday occurrences.
Everyone has been saying for a while that the time of the Switch is coming to an end. After all, the console is already six years old and even though Tears of the Kingdom seems to hold up ok for the most part, it is definitely showing the console's limitations.
