"Disney Was Like, ‘No Thanks!’”: Actress Reveals She-Hulk Season 2 Is Never Happening

She-Hulk was not one of the popular Marvel shows on Disney+ and now it's looking bad for anyone who had hoped for a second season, with lead actress Tatiana Maslany spilling the beans.

Disney+ has been quite ambitious with the amount of shows it's trying to bring out for Star Wars and the Marvel universe. They're trying to continuously expand the universe, but that will also lead to some shows getting dropped if they don't reach targets.

One of those shows is likely going to be She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, which had come out in 2022. In a recent interview, lead actress Tatiana Maslany revealed that there is a reason for the cancelation, though.

She-Hulk Faced Budget Issues During Production

Recently, Maslany went on the NerdIncorrect Twitch game show Codename Live where she was asked about the possibility of a second season of She-Hulk Attorney At Law. The actress didn't seem very hopeful for a second season.

I don’t think so. I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like, ‘no thanks!’

So, it seems that the show won't be returning due to the high cost of development it had. One of the key reasons for these huge budget issues was the main character itself and the amount of special effects needed to make her look believable as She-Hulk and her green skin.

Sure, the rest of the show didn't seem it would take up too much money, with it being more of a comedy than an action blockbuster, but according to Variety, the special effects for She-Hulk cost as much as $25 million per episode.

So, it looks like, while we haven't gotten anything official from Disney just yet, there is not going to be another season of She-Hulk in the making. Instead, Disney is going to focus on other projects like the second season of Ahsoka.
