Epic Game Store will continue to give away games in 2024 on a weekly basis, as a reliable leaker confirms. That aligns with the observations from January, when Epic already offered several games for free.
As it has been the case for several years, Epic continued to give away some freebies in January, including big hits like A Plague Tale: Innocence or Guardians of the Galaxy. The very reliable leaker billbil-kun, who regularly reveals Epic's free games and the PS Plus Essential free games, just confirmed that Epic will continue this program in the future via Dealabs.

Free Games On Epic Games Store Are Intended To Attract Users To Visit The Storefront
As Steam is the biggest contender to Epic Games, the store needs to stand out with special features. The strategy to achieve this seems to involve gifting freebies to users on one hand and rewarding developers for signing exclusivity deals on the other hand. Whether this is the right approach in the long run is questionable, though for us gamers the free games are, of course, very welcome.
