LoL Season 14 is kicking off and players are ready to play some ranked again, but one thing we also need is the epic cinematic that has been promised to us. It seems like Tryndamere is going to play a big role in 2024.
Riot usually kicks off the year with an insane cinematic showcasing some of your favorite champions in a way you usually don't get to see them. Sure, 2023 happened, but let's not talk about the dark times anymore and look forward to the LoL Season 14 cinematic, which is set to drop soon.
Riot have just revealed their Season 14 start roadmap, with ranked kicking off with the cinematic this year. It's going to be insane with all the upcoming changes hitting live servers as well. Who is ready for a new Summoner's Rift?
LoL Season 14 Cinematic: Release Time & Date
This year we are getting a real cinematic again. Riot has promised as much and explained that it will be similar to The Call, which was the most iconic cinematic to date. The 2024 kick-off cinematic could feature champions like Aatrox who was going to be in the 2023 cinematic which was scrapped due to time constraints.
The release for the cinematic, as per Riot, is going to be January 10, 2024. The video will go live at 7 am PT (10 am ET / 3 pm GMT / 4 pm CET). Around the same time, the ranked season should also kick off, with the cinematic being the highlight of LoL Season 14.

You are going to be able to watch the cinematic on the official League of Legends YouTube channel. There is likely going to be a countdown ahead of the release, as well as a premiere for it, so you can actually find the video a few hours before the official release on the site.
This is going to be a huge video this year, and hopes are pretty high. Last year, Riot stumbled and made quite a few mistakes with the cinematic, and unsurprisingly the backlash was huge. So the company knows that this is something the fan base are looking forward to, and they'll likely do a much better job this year.
