T1 defined the meta in the latter half of the 2023 League of Legends World Championship. With picks like Senna-Tahm and Bard in the bot lane, they had some of the most innovative champion picks throughout the tournament.

Now, after the dust has settled, some more wacky picks came to light that the fans could have seen. Sure, Jhin was a nice touch in the semi-finals, but the bot duo of T1 were cooking up some more insane picks that could have seen the light of day.

After the World Championship ended, T1's bot laner Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong revealed on stream that there were a few more picks that he, along with his bot lane partner Ryu "Keria" Min-seok did not get to play.

One of those was Caitlyn-Lux, which the duo are known for. Had the team managed to get blue side at least once, then they would have brought out the duo and Keria would have been able to make his NewJeans-inspired World Championship Lux skin.

Another duo in the bot lane that the pair were cooking up was Nilah and Zilean in the bot lane. Gumayusi referred to this duo as the "Infinite XP" bot duo. Nilah shares experience and gets ahead faster, while Zilean is able to back up the XP with his passive and then giving it back to Nilah to get ahead.

Add in the fact that Nilah can carry one of the bombs to her enemies with her close range, and you've got an insane experience lead, and the abiltiy to easily stun opponents thanks to Zilean's double bombs.

In a recent interview, Kwangdong Freecs bot laner Kim "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon revealed that during scrims, this was a bot duo that was impossible to play against and would always win.

Pairing Nilah with Senna was another one of the bot duos that T1 tried out and was also impossible to play against, frustrating him during scrims before the World Championship knockout games.

It seems that there have been a lot of options for T1 in the bot lane and that the viewers only got to witness a few of these insane combos at Worlds, but with the team sticking together for 2024, we might get to see them in the LCK Spring Split next year.
