The new Stardew Valley Spin-Off created by a former dev is intended to release in 2024.
Attention fellow Stardew Valley fans! 2024 might be the year when a new game gets released, that looks quite similar to your beloved Stardew Valley, and not just coincedentally. Former Stardew Valley dev Arthur "Mr. Podunkian" Lee is working on a new life-sim that is set in a city instead of a farm.
Stardew Valley Spin-Off Brings Bikes, Chickens And Sewer Adventures To You
Fortunately, Lee keeps us updated on the development process via X/Twitter, posting many insights into the features that the new game will include. One of the coolest is the possibility to ride a bike, which reminds me of the good old times, when I tried to ride the Mach Bike in Pokémon Emerald down the Seaside Cycling Road without bumping into another biker....
My girlfriend and I bought city bikes this year, which led to my decision that I absolutely needed to add a bike to my game. Will they be customizable with unusually expensive addons? Only time will tell. pic.twitter.com/nVoYZVDLvV

You may ask yourself: Stardew Valley in the city? Does that mean I won't be able to raise my own cute farm animals and harvest the valuable fruits of my hard fieldwork anymore? Fear not! As some of Lee's clips show, you still can run your own farm in the new game.
You can keep animals in outdoor pens, but I decided to add buildable coops too which is where you'll have access to incubators. I think the little animation for the chickens leaving down the ramp is pretty darned cute ! pic.twitter.com/uK5aGNMhUn

Also, it seems that there will be a sewer-like dungeon, that's waiting to be explored by the adventurers amongst you, just like in ol' Stardew Valey.
This week, long overdue, but I finally got around to implementing projectiles. I'm on the fence about about player projectile weapons, but it was kinda fun to get them working nonetheless. Next week, I'll be working on a big side activity I haven't talked talked about yet... pic.twitter.com/kA6vDGQmfH
