Skull and Bones will finally release on February 16 and we will tell you the system requirements as well as the exclusive PC features. Let's take a look at the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Skull and Bones.
Well, Skull and Bones does have quite a rough history. I actually don't know if there is any video game that has been delayed more often. But anyway, the much awaited pirate game will finally release on February 16 (if it isn't delayed again...) and it could actually be a good game. After all, the whole idea behind Skull and Bones was, to make a pirate game that focuses on the ship battles we all loved so much in Assassin's Creed 4 and even though the game went through a ton of changes during its development cycle, the latest videos do look like it could be a fun game.
Since you will spend most of your in-game time on the water, which can affect game performance by a lot, you probably ask yourself if your gaming PC is up to the task. So here are the PC system requirements and also the most important PC features.
Skull and Bones PC System Requirements
The system requirements for Skull and Bones are actually not too bad if you aim for only 1080p at 30 FPS. They obviously rise if you want to play in 4K at ultra settings and 60 FPS, but still aren't that crazy.
1080p / 30 FPS | 1080p / 60 FPS | 1440p / 60 FPS | 4K / 60 FPS | |
CPU | Intel Core I7-4790 AMD Ryzen 5 1600 | Intel Core I7-8700K AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | Intel Core I7-9700K AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | Intel Core I5-11600K AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
GPU | Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT | Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT | Nvidia Geforce RTX 3070AMD Radeon RX 6800 | Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 (DLSS Balanced)AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (FSR Balanced) |
RAM | 8 GB Dual Channel | 16 GB Dual Channel | 16 GB Dual Channel | 16 GB Dual Channel |
Storage | 65 GB SSD | 65 GB SSD | 65 GB SSD | 65 GB SSD |
As you can see, the minimum specs shouldn't be hard to reach, and even older PCs should still be able to run Skull and Bones. For 4K at ultra settings, you should have a good GPU, but still don't need the latest generation as long as you enable DLSS or FSR. Now we just have to hope that the game is actually fun to play, since playtesters weren't too happy with the game in the past.
But let's take a look at the other PC features besides upsampling.
Skull and Bones PC Features
We already mentioned that Skull and bones supports upsampling technologies like DLSS and FSR to improve performance while maintaining or even improving image quality. But that's not all, Skull and Bones also supports the following:
- Uncapped FPS
- Multi-Monitor & Widescreen Support
- In-Game Benchmark
- HDR & SDR
- Ray Tracing
- Advanced Input Settings
Provided your gaming PC is up-to-date, Skull and Bones will look absolutely stunning on your machine and run with literally as many FPS as you can get (no locked FPS like on consoles). Are you getting Skull and Bones or are you already over it after waiting for so long?
