The new summer event Soul Fighters will feature some pretty cool stuff, like a brand-new game mode. But there is one thing fans wish Riot will adjust once the mode is live.

This summer Riot is going to release a big event for a brand-new skin line called Soul Fighter. With these skins we're also getting a new game mode, as well as a new map on which this game mode it is played, something we haven't seen or experienced in eons.

Even though there isn't any real official information from Riot just yet, some of the devs have talked about this new arena game mode and while fans are hyped for a new experience, some things do have them a bit worried.

LoL Soul Fighter: Fans Notice One Issue With New Game Mode

The new game mode for the Soul Fighter event is going to feature an arena in which players play 2 versus 2 against other duos. While you can queue up alone to be paired with a stranger you can also queue up with a friend. But that is where it ends.

If you've got more than one friend – which would be a surprise... let's be real you play League of Legends! – then you will have to choose who to play with. According to Riot Meddler, you'll only be able to either queue up alone or with a duo and no more.

On initial launch at least, it'll just be teams of 2. We' like to add queuing as 8, but won't have it initially though

This could mean that Riot are planning on having this game mode around for a while or having it return with some updates at a later date. This will all likely depend on how popular the mode is and how many people continuously play it.

Riot have explained that some game modes don't return due to interest in them fizzing out quickly and therefore, they want to assess how popular this new 2v2 mode will be with the community.

If it's popular enough then it'll likely make a comeback with some major QoL updates. For now though, players will either have to play alone or with their chosen duo.
