LoL Patch 13.13 is live and in this patch we're getting some great new skins, as well as nerfs to some of the most annoying League of Legends champions in the game right now. Let's go over all the buffs and nerfs so you're up to date!
LoL Patch 13.13 is going to be a three-week patch, so Riot is adding in quite a few changes that will need to cook. What exactly does this mean for us? Well a lot of champion buffs, nerfs and adjustments of course. Oh, and a new Varus VO... Naafiri is inching ever closer.
This is going to be the calm before the storm, with the big summer event, along with a boat load of Soul Fighter skins just around the corner, so let's see what LoL Patch 13.13 has to offer, eh?
LoL Patch 13.13 Notes: New Varus Voice-Over
thank you! I'll answer the first question~ yes! worked with @rnoelliams to envision how LoL and LoR Varus would fit together. i aimed for LoL Varus to be the midpoint between Varus' colder, crueler self that we see in his comics, and his more humane, unified self in LoR https://t.co/5oON6LHYGG
— Isa Mari De Leon (@orkidian) June 14, 2023
Varus is a very interesting champion who was released all the way back in 2012. Of course, since then, he's gotten a makeover, some revised lore and all that jazz and now Riot is finally adding in some new voice lines as well to help the champion out.
He's going to align much more with the Varus VO from the card game, Legends of Runeterra. The writer of Varus' new voice-over stated that the teams of both titles are working closely together to have him feel like the same character in both games.
The new voice-over will also feature lines about other Darkin champions from Legends of Runeterra, as well as Varus finally telling Aatrox off about the 'double A' in his name. Oh, and we cannot forget the voice lines about Naafiri now, can we? This just goes to show that she is very close to release.

LoL Patch 13.13: Champion Buffs
Riot is not going to be buffing too many champions this patch. They're looking to nerf the OP champions though, so the buff list might look rather scarce, but don't worry your fave will probably get a buff very soon instead.

LoL Patch 13.13 Champion Adjustments
Rell Update Time: Jungle getting buffed, Support getting nerfed. We still want Support to be her primary playstyle, but jungle has fallen off in viability a bit and we want it to be a great option for players who enjoy her in the jungle. Support should still be quite healthy pic.twitter.com/hOJum0chG3
— Stephen Auker (@RiotRaptorr) June 21, 2023
Rell is also going to have some adjustments. She is a little too powerful as a support, so Riot will nerf her support build, while buffing her in the jungle as well.
Base Stats
- Health Regeneration Growth: 1.7 ⇒ 1.5
- Base Magic Resistance: 32 ⇒ 30
- Magic Resistance Growth: 2.05 ⇒ 1.85
Q - Shattering Strike
- Bonus Damage to Monsters: 150/220/290/360/430 ⇒ 170/245/320/395/470 (Note: Max Q first now!)
Riot Raptorr explained that they want every jungler to max her Q first since this is the strongest ability in the role.
W - Ferromancy: Crash Down/Mount Up
- Crash Down Shield: 35/60/85/110/135 (+12% of maximum HP) ⇒ 15/40/65/90/110 (+12% of maximum HP)

System Adjustments in LoL Patch 13.13
Along with a lot of champion adjustments, Riot is also going to add a few item changes as well this patch. Statikk Shiv will also be getting some major nerfs this patch, since the item has been way too strong with mages like LeBlanc in the mid lane.
There are some other system adjustments as well this patch so let's go over all the changes Riot has planned that will impact the meta.
System | Adjustment |
Stormrazor |
|
Essence Reaver |
|
Duskblade of Draktharr |

Ranked Reset in LoL Patch 13.13
One key thing in this League of Legends patch is none other than the reanked reset which is going to take place. This is the first time we've got two splits in a LoL season, with there also being a victorious skin given out. Now if you're wondering when ranked resets we've got all the information for you right here.
Ranked queues will go down on July 17, 2023 at 11:59 pm local time according to Riot. Then the rewards will be distributed to players who have earned their vicotirious skin and the chromas. Remember, you didn't have to reach Gold to be able to earn a skin this time around.
On July 18, 2023 around 3:00 am local time ranked will be coming back up, but playing ranked will be pointless since you aren't going to contribute to your rank, due to the season having ended and the second split not having started yet.
Between July 19 and 21 (depending on your region) your rank will be reset and the second split of LoL Season 13 is going to kick off.

LoL Patch 13.13: New Skins
Wild Rift Star Guardian Skins Ported Over
First of all we have to check out the new Star Guardian skins that are hitting the rift. In LoL Patch 13.13. Of course, these aren't really new skins since they released a year ago for Wild Rift, but they'll be brand-new for League of Legends PC.
- Star Guardian Seraphine
- Star Guardian Orianna
The other three Star Guardian Wild Rift skins, for Senna, Rakan and Xayah will be released at a later time, with Senna's already confirmed for LoL Pathc 13.14.
New Elderwood Skins in LoL Patch 13.13
Not only are we getting two Star Guardian skins, but Riot is also going to be releasing two new skins for the Elderwood skin line. This means this patch will have 4 skins in total released.
- Elderwood Karthus
- Elderwood Wukong
While these skins aren't flashy, they look great and the champions chosen also work extremely well in this alternate universe. Overall, the skins look great and don't feel like filler skins at all while we wait for the first glances of the upcoming Soul Fighter skins.
LoL Patch 13.13 Release Date
This League of Legends Patch is going to go live on June 28, 2023. The skins and cosmetics should be added into the shop a day later on Thursday, June 29.
The next patch will likely hold the upcoming League of Legends summer event, along with some other cool features, so let's keep waiting patiently until more information has been revealed.
