Miss Fortune Crit Build Changed Ahead of Worlds

Miss Fortune is one of the most popular champions in League of Legends. She can be played in both the pro-scene and as a low elo pleb, and now Riot is going to make some changes to her kit which could affect her play rate at the upcoming LoL World Championship.

Miss Fortune, one of the many faces of League of Legends, right? So of course, we want to see her be played at the League of Legends World Championship as well. Seeing a champion even low elo players can use on the biggest stage is always satisfactory, which is why Riot is looking to make a few changes to her kit.

This isn't a huge overhaul, not like the Sivir mid-scope update, instead, Riot is looking to make more builds available to Miss Fortune, so she can truly shine like the bot lane champion that she is meant to be. But let's get onto it and check out all the changes currently on the PBE server.

Riot Buffs Crit Build on Miss Fortune

It seems that Riot is sick and tired of seeing everyone spam Miss Fortune's E – Make it Rain all over the bot lane and are looking to buff her Q – Double Up. They're also making a few adjustments to her Q's cast time, as well as improving Miss Fortune's W – Strut.

But let's get into the details right now of what Riot is going to adjust on Miss Fortune's kit.

Ability

Changes

Double Up (Q)

  • Physical Damage: 20/40/60/80/100 (+100% Attack Damage [AD]) (+35% Ability Power [AP]) --> 20/45/70/95/120 (+100% AD) (+45% AP)
  • Cast Time: 0.25s --> Matches Basic Attack Time
Strut (W)
  • Mana Cost: 45 --> 35
  • Attack Speed: 40/55/70/85/100% --> 50/65/80/95/110%

Make it Rain (E)

  • Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 --> 18/17/16/15/14
  • Full Damage (8-tick): 80/115/150/185/220 (+80% AP) --> 70/100/130/160/190 (+100% AP)
  • Slow: 40/45/50/55/60% --> 50% (+4% per 100 AP)
Bullet Time (R)
  • Bonus Critical Chance Damage: 20% of each wave's damage --> 30%

The AP scaling was increased on her E, which is one of the most annoying builds to go up against which has some players worried. The damage over time and the slowing effects look to be quite annoying and will incentivize players to go for some wacky builds with her.

Will Miss Fortune be added to the list after these buffs?

When Will the Miss Fortune Buffs Release?

These changes are currently on the Public Beta Server, which means they should be live with League of Legends Patch 12.17. That patch comes out on September 8, 2022. Just so everyone knows that's a Thursday and not a Wednesday as per usual.

So, will we be seeing Miss Fortune at the League of Legends World Championship? Or is she going to be ignored in favor of top tier picks like Zeri, Sivir or Draven? She did have a large presence at Worlds 2021, so maybe this is her year to receive a World Championship skin?
