The All-Star 2020 event was League of Legends’ last international event of the year. While All-Star events are not the most serious competitions, they usually provide us with some great moments - and this one did not disappoint.

Five best moments to remember All-Star 2020 by
5. THE OPL SWAN SONG: Sadly, the Oceania Professional League of Legends League (OPL for short) ceased operation at the end of 2020, with its players being eligible for playing in the LCS. Yet in their last professional (well, mostly) game against the LCK, they lived up to the theme of underdog uprising. After a horrible start where they were trounced by the favorites, they brought it back with aggressive team fighting to give South Korea its second loss at the event. (Image Credit: Riot Games)
4. THE 1v1 CHALLENGERS: Sure, 1v1 tournaments are part and parcel of All-Star events, but this year, two streamers rocked the ladder. In the LPL tournament, YuxiaoC went all the way, defeating top lane prodigy Bai "369" Jia-Hao in the semifinals and sweeping veteran Karsa Hung "Karsa" Hao-Hsuan to take the crown. Over in Europe, regional league mid laner Frederik "NoWay" Hinteregger took down several pros before a showdown with the defending world 1v1 champion Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau in the final. In the end, Bwipo kept his crown, but NoWay's challenge was no laughing matter. (Image Credit: Riot Games)
3. COREJJ'S DRAFT"OOPS": The big EU vs NA showdown on day three had a twist as the captains would alternate to take picks for their teams, regardless of the league the players competed in. Bwipo picked several of his current and former Fnatic playmates, which proved to be a winning strategy. However, some of the credit for their wins must go to the draft, where the opposing captain Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in was left with no jungler. The best part is that it might have been an accident. 2. AHAHACIK’S PENTA KILL: After the two Asian juggernauts lost all their matches on the first day, the LEC broke the mold by defeating the TCL, but their second game turned out to be quite different. The LCL representatives - essentially the Unicorns of Love roster - punished their opponent’s fast and loose play and took over the game. The bloody battle had a fitting end in a teamfight where Kirill "AHaHaCiK" Skvortsov took a quadra kill and the team chased in the enemy base to give him the Penta with a fountain dive. 1. FAKER'S NUNU MECHANICS: Hey, it’s an international event with Faker in it, of course, he’s going to style on someone. But we were not prepared for his Nunu mechanics, against Song "Rookie" Eui-jin no less. Well, that’s just what the Unkillable Demon King did in the fan-voted champions game. Faker not only survived the lane against Rookie’s Syndra, but he also dominated the game as only a true Nunu master can. (Image Credit: Riot Games)
