Dragon's Dogma 2 is just around the corner: Capcom's new RPG title will be released in just over two weeks. What has been shown so far looks very promising, but the first game from 2012 flew under the radar for many players. This begs the question: Will the sequel be worth playing even if you haven't played the first game?

According to game director Hideaki Itsuno, you don't have to worry if you haven't played the first Dragon's Dogma. Even the main character in Dragon's Dogma 2 has no memory of what happened in the first game. So everything is explained to us by the characters we will interact with in DD2.
What's it all about?
In Dragon's Dogma 2, just like in the first game, the protagonist's heart has been ripped out by a dragon, so of course we have to go in search of the beast. To do so, we have to fight our way through a large, mostly enemy-infested open world – but luckily we have the help of our followers!
