Hades 2 is going to be released soon, but Supergiant Games has revealed that select fans can test the game before it even hits early access.
It's been 2-years since Hades 2 was revealed and ever since then fans have eagerly been awaiting the popular title. The first game was a huge success and the second game also looks to be quite popular, even before release.
The game should be coming soon to multiple platforms, with most speculating that a release between April and June 2024 is feasible. Now, Supergiant Games, the developers of Hades, have revealed that some fans can play the game before it even hits early access.
Hades 2: Fans Can Sign Up For Technical Test
Supergiant Games posted an update on their Steam page on April 16, 2024. In the update they revealed that they're conducting technical tests for Hades 2 ahead of the early access release. While the technical test will have less content than the actual game, it is still a great opportunity for fans of the game.
How To Sign Up For Hades 2 Technical Test
So, what do players have to do to be a part of this technical test? Easy, Supergiant Games is using Steam Playtest. Players simply have to click on "Request Access" to be considered for the technical test.
This does not confirm that you'll be chosen, though. You'll have to check your email to see whether you got into the playtest.
A subset of players who request access will be invited to participate via an email from Steam with download instructions. We expect to start with a small player population, then grow it over time. So, even if you aren't invited to the Technical Test right away, you may still be invited later.
How Long Is The Technical Test?
Supergiant Games have also stated that they are not sure how long these technical tests will last. Depending on the feedback from players they get they might have to make some adjustments and changes which could elongate the testing.
Therefore they also won't know when Hades 2 is going to be hitting early access and subsequently the release date of the official game is also still up in the air. This is pretty cool though for fans of Hades, so make sure to sign up.
