A year and a half after the last update, Red Dead Redemption Online finally got some love from Rockstar. But, fans remain disappointed.
Red Dead Redemption Online turns five this year, but for most of its life it was largely neglected. While GTA V Online has been thriving for over 10 years, talk about a favorite child...
Red Dead Online: A Long-Awaited Update Finally Arrives
Now, more than 18 months after the last update, Rockstar has finally shown mercy, giving Red Dead Online a much-needed facelift. The patch is available for all platforms (PC, PS4 and Xbox One) and includes general fixes for Red Dead Online as well as improved stability and performance.
So at least Rockstar has fixed some super annoying bugs like the infamous stable bug where you would get stuck trying to enter a stable and would have to restart the whole game. This bug was around for over a year before it was finally fixed, which is a testament to Rockstar's commitment to Red Dead Online, or lack thereof.
Addressing Issues, But Missing The Mark On Content
The main reason why Red Dead Online players are still disappointed is clear: There's no new content! While the last update from September 2022 included new stuff, this one did not. And to be honest, I don't think there ever will be new future content for RDO from this point.
