Stardew Valley is getting one more major update and we finally know when!
Stardew Valley is already a respectable, 8-years-old title, and has gotten several updates over the years. Since the last update was released in 2021, Fans have been waiting a long time for new content. That is about to change with Patch 1.6, which was announced in 2023.
There have been new details emerging about what this update will bring to the game. And it's quite a lot. Now, we finally know when we can expect the long-awaited update.
Stardew Valley Patch 1.6 Will Arrive Very Soon
The creator, Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, announced on Twitter/X that Patch 1.6 will go live for Stardew Valley's 8th anniversary on March 19.

Initially, the update will only be available on PC, with console and mobile releases to follow later.
In another tweet, the developer thanks players for their years of support. Not only did they make the game's continued development possible, but also a worldwide concert and an official Stardew Valley cookbook . Until today, 30 million copies have been sold, and the game continues to enjoy great popularity. Currently, nearly 60,000 farming enthusiasts are playing the pixel art style social sim in on Steam. With the update, that number is likely to increase even further.
ConcernedApe isn't resting on his laurels, though. Currently, he is working on his next game, Haunted Chocolatier.
ConcernedApe's New Game Will Revolve Around The Life Of A Chocolatier
In this game, you will play as a chocolatier living in a haunted castle. In order to thrive in your new role, you will have to gather rare ingredients, make delicious chocolates, and sell them in a chocolate shop
Currently, no release date has been announced for Haunted Chocolatier, but we can assume that ConcernedApe will be able to focus more on his game again after the distribution of the Stardew Valley update.
Stardew Valley 1.6 will definitely sweeten the wait for the new game, and for those who still can't get enough, check out the project of a former dev colleague of Ape. Sunkissed City brings the Stardew Valley experience to the sunny seaside metropolis Apollo City.
